This archive originally had been assembled by Mercedes-Benz in 1940, and given to Hitler as a special presentation gift of over 50 albums. These albums were then found by the U.S. and brought to the states, where soon after, they were forgotten, until Taylor stumbled upon the treasure trove of automotive history.

It was also the end of an era with the Daimler Benz Company withdrawing from racing.........This book relives both the glories and the tragedies of the Daimler-Benz company over seven turbulant decades, above all, for me in particular, it highlights why the term 'Silver Arrow' and the Mercedes 'star' were synonymous with success.
