About the Author
Leslie Stein was born and raised in New York, where he currently lives. He also lived and traveled in India for several years. On a trip to Australia, he settled there for some time to work and train with the distinguished Jungian analyst Rix Weaver. In 2001, his novel The Journey of Adam Kadmon was published by Arcade.

Blown away...Great clarity brought to a complicated subject

I recently finished listening to the audio version and realized that there is so much there that is vital to understand that I went ahead and ordered the hard copy so I can take notes and absorb what is being shared. I won't go into the premise of the book, enough is said there. This is no introduction to Jung; the book delves deeply into the process of individuation and the strong parallels and differences between Sufism, the Kabbalah, and Indian metaphysical thoughts. The initial chapters on the equation were a bit dry and tough to follow, to be honest it may have had something to do with listening to the audio version while jogging(I still recommend the audio version as it is extremely well narrated)but once you pay the price of admission by hanging in, you are rewarded by stunning insights from different traditions on the nature of god and Man. I won't spoil it for anyone but suffice it to say that if you are familiar with the idea of the objective psyche and Jung's writing, you will find yourself on familiar ground and then pushed gently into new ones. Thanks to the equation that the author explains with great clarity, one is able to anchor in one's mind the process of individuation and relate it to some of the most profound mystic traditions out there. Blown away by this one and the great clarity brought to difficult subjects by the author; the book opened doors for me to explore further...next on my reading list will be Ibn Arabi and Sri Aurobindo...Many thanks to the author.
